Job summary

Harbinger Motors is seeking a hands-on Electrical Test Engineer in California with 5+ years of experience testing power electronics devices. You will lead prototype bring-up, Design Verification and Production Verification testing, and long-term reliability programs at component, subsystem, and vehicle levels.

You will collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and software teams to design and build custom test fixtures, automation, and test equipment, while upholding strict high-voltage safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of industry experience in electrical design/testing.
• Experience with reliability calculations and test profiles.
• Hands-on testing of power electronics, PCBAs or battery systems.
• Familiarity with CAN tools and data analysis languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on bench bring-up, commissioning, and validation testing for power electronics, PCBAs, and HV subsystems.
• Develop, execute, and maintain DVP&R to ensure performance and durability requirements.
• Design and build custom in-house test fixtures, automation setups, and test equipment.
• Lead root-cause analysis for bench/field test failures and participate in DFMEA sessions.
• Train test technicians on SOPs and ensure all testing follows high-voltage safety protocols.
