Job summary
Harbinger is hiring an Electrical Test Engineer to lead bench bring-up, DV/PV tests, and reliability programs for power electronics and HV subsystems in a California facility.
You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, design custom test rigs, and drive DFMEA and RCA activities to improve product quality and safety. Strong communication and hands-on testing skills are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of industry experience testing power electronics devices
- Experience with reliability calculations and test-profile development
- Hands-on testing of power electronics, PCBAs, or battery systems
- Experience with CAN tools (CANalyzer/CANape/CANoe) and LabVIEW
- Proficient in Python or Matlab for data analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead bench bring-up, commissioning, and validation testing for HV subsystems
- Develop and maintain DVP&R to meet performance and durability targets
- Design and build in-house test fixtures and automation setups
- Lead RCA for test failures and participate in DFMEA sessions
- Document findings and report outcomes to stakeholders
- Train technicians on standard operating procedures for HV test rigs
- Support offsite testing facilities with travel up to 30%
