Job summary

Harbinger Motors in Garden Grove, CA, seeks a Powertrain Test Engineer to lead system-level testing of electric powertrains and drive units. You will build out instrumentation, data acquisition, and test methodologies, collaborating with fellow engineers to validate electrical, mechanical, and software integration.

The role emphasizes high-voltage EV powertrains, dynamometer and HIL system development, and robust test plans.

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical or Mechatronics with 3+ years in validation testing and system integration.
Experience designing motor drive dynamometers and high-voltage EV test cells.
Hands-on with electrical/mechanical testing equipment and data acquisition.
Familiar with NI-XNET, NI-VISA, TCP/IP communications.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute component and system-level EV motor and drive unit testing in the lab.
Design dynos and HIL systems for development testing.
Maintain test rigs, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
Analyze data to reproduce failures and drive issue resolution.
Document designs, schematics, and test procedures.
