Job summary

Harbinger Motors Inc. is seeking a driven Vehicle Test Engineer to plan, execute, and analyze vehicle testing ensuring quality, performance, and safety of our commercial EVs.

You will collaborate with design, development, and manufacturing teams to resolve issues and refine vehicle performance. Ideal candidates have a 5+ year track record in vehicle testing, strong data analysis skills, and familiarity with ISO/SAE test standards; bonus for NVH and durability testing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years as Vehicle Test Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems including powertrain, chassis, electrical, and electronics.
• Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills; proficient with data tools and MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in teams.
• Bonus: familiarity with ISO/SAE testing standards and NVH, durability, or reliability testing.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Execution: develop and execute comprehensive test plans for vehicle systems.
• Instrumentation: select instrumentation, instrument the vehicle, ensure data quality.
• Field Testing: conduct testing on tracks, roads, and controlled environments.
• Data Analysis: analyze data to diagnose performance issues and defects.
• Documentation: record results, track findings in Jira, present actionable recommendations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with design, development, and manufacturing to resolve issues.
• Equipment Maintenance: maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
• Process Improvement: contribute to new test methods and internal standards.
