Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering Technician to support firmware and hardware development for advanced battery, motor, and electronics solutions. You will program MCUs, review firmware functionality, and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues while maintaining a secure lab environment.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, schematics literacy, and hands-on lab skills, with emphasis on safety and precise documentation.

Qualifications

• Technical education in Electrical Engineering normally acquired with a 2-year associate degree, military equivalent, or on-the-job training.
• Intermediate circuit analysis skills expected.
• Proficient with electrical test equipment and basic soldering techniques.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Programming MCUs with proprietary software.
• Functional review of firmware programmed on MCU.
• Analyzing programming errors and guiding EEs to prevent recurrence.
• Organizing and maintaining Secure Programming Lab.
• Test, inspect, and identify Milwaukee Tool products not meeting quality standards.
• Identify symptoms of faulty parts and investigate root causes.
• Document data from root-cause investigations clearly.
• Read electrical schematics and follow work instructions precisely.
• Operate lab equipment safely and uphold safety requirements.
