Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Electrical Subsystems Digital Principal Engineer to lead FPGA-based digital design for development guidance systems. You will work with hardware engineers, IC designers, and program teams to drive architecture, requirements, integration, and test across the lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have a STEM degree and 8+ years in analog/digital/power electronics, plus an active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
Experience in analog, digital, and power electronics design, integration, and production support.
Ability to decompose requirements into actionable design and subsystem architecture.
Experience with digital sub-systems, system engineering, and circuit card assembly design.
Active and transferable DoD Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

Lead or support digital design efforts for development guidance systems with FPGA architectures.
Enhance debugging and testing of complex circuit card assemblies and electro-mechanical systems.
Support component-level design reviews and test reviews.
Mentor teammates and collaborate with program management and customers.
Travel approximately 25% as needed.
Participate in lifecycle activities from design through verification and integration.
