RTX is seeking an Electrical Subsystems Digital Principal Engineer in Tucson, AZ to lead or support digital design efforts for development guidance systems centered on FPGA-based designs. The role involves hands-on testing, mentoring teammates, and collaboration with customers and suppliers.

The candidate should have a STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience and hold an active DoD Secret clearance. Relocation and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience in analog, digital, and power electronics design, integration.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead or Support Digital Design Efforts for development guidance systems focusing on FPGA-based designs.
• Enhance electrical engineering skills by testing and debugging complex circuit cards and electro-mechanical systems.
• Support component-level design and test reviews.
• Mentorship culture with engineers serving as mentors and mentees.
• Collaborate with functional and program management; customers and suppliers as needed.
• Travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Participate in engineering lifecycle activities including design, analysis, requirements documentation, and root-cause investigations.
