Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Category Manager, Electrical to own the electrical spend category end-to-end at strategic sites in Arvada, Brighton, Tulsa and Ponchatoula. You will lead market intelligence, supplier qualification, negotiations, and risk management, bringing NEC/UL knowledge and a track record in dual-sourcing and long-lead items.

The role emphasizes building framework agreements, AVL maintenance, and cross-functional alignment with Material Planners and POs.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years in strategic sourcing or category management for electrical components.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Working familiarity with NEC/UL compliance and electrical component specs.
• Experience reading, structuring, and redlining complex commercial terms.
• Proficiency with supplier qualification frameworks, RFIs/RFQs, scorecards, and category segmentation.

Responsibilities

• Market & Spend Intelligence: track lead times, pricing, capacity for electrical categories, with emphasis on long-lead items.
• AVL Qualification & Management: manage AVL with NEC/UL compliance verification.
• Category Strategy & Segmentation: apply frameworks (e.g., Kraljic) for 12–24 month roadmaps with dual-sourcing.
• Commercial Negotiations & Contracting: structure MSAs, pricing, terms, and SLAs; redline adverse clauses.
• Proactive Risk Mitigation: manage single-source exposures and lead-time risks with a live risk register.
• Supplier Performance Tracking: quarterly scorecards for on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, cost trends.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: provide robust commercial frameworks for Material Planners and PO Specialists.
