Job summary

Crusoe Energy Systems LLC is hiring a Category Manager, Electrical, to own our electrical spend strategy across multiple sites including Arvada. You will lead market intelligence, supplier qualification, and commercial negotiations for switchgear and related hardware, ensuring NEC/UL compliance and minimizing lead-time risk.

The role emphasizes framework development over day-to-day PO processing, with a focus on strategic supply chain decisions and robust vendor management.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of strategic sourcing or category management focused on electrical components or industrial equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent).
• Strong familiarity with NEC/UL compliance and electrical specifications.
• Experience reading, structuring, and redlining complex commercial terms and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own market intelligence and spend data for electrical categories, including long-lead items.
• Own the AVL, qualification, and compliance verification processes for suppliers.
• Create 12–24 month category roadmaps with dual-sourcing options using framework models (e.g., Kraljic).
• Structure MSAs, pricing, terms, and SLAs; negotiate favorable terms and defend supply strategy.
• Manage single-source risk and lead-time exposures with proactive mitigation plans.
• Establish quarterly supplier scorecards on delivery, quality, and cost trends.
• Collaborate with Material Planners and PO Specialists to implement terms across sites.
