Job summary

ABB is seeking an Engineering professional to join the Electrification Solutions Group in the US. You will manage engineering and support services for integrating electrical equipment into E-Houses, ensuring cost and schedule adherence on large multimillion‑dollar projects.

Role requires expertise in MV/LV switchgear, protections, controls, and integration within Power Distribution Centers, with travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years relevant engineering experience in electrical power systems and project engineering.
• Solid knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, protections, controls, automation, and integration within Power Distribution Centers.
• Ability to design and calculate electrical systems for integrated Power Distribution Centers, including cable sizing and breaker sizing.
• Proficiency in creating, modifying and reviewing electrical drawings (single-line, three-line, schematics) and validating designs.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% and work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead and approve design deliverables, interfacing with customers to shape and deliver solutions.
• Plan, monitor, coordinate and execute complex engineering tasks within ABB and customer targets.
• Develop and manage an engineering project plan and design approvals among ABB, vendors, and customers.
• Produce status reports and adjust plans to meet contract parameters.
• Monitor subcontractors to ensure performance aligns with commitments.
• Identify and resolve issues hindering progress or payments to optimize project closure.
