Job summary

ABB is seeking an Electrical Engineering professional to manage engineering and support services for the integration of electrical equipment into E-Houses in a hybrid role based in the Houston area.

You will lead technical design activities, coordinate with customers, and oversee project plans to meet cost and schedule targets for multimillion-dollar projects involving MV/LV switchgear, drives, motors, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with strong understanding of electrical power systems.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in electrical power systems and project engineering.
• Solid knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, protections, controls, automation, and integration within Power Distribution Centers.
• Ability to design and calculate electrical systems for integrated Power Distribution Centers including cable sizing and HV-LV distribution.
• Proficiency in electrical drawings (single-line, three-line, schematics) and validating designs.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead and approve design deliverables, coordinating with customers to shape solutions.
• Develop and manage engineering project plans, design reviews, and approvals with vendors and customers.
• Create status reports and adjust schedules to meet contract parameters.
• Monitor subcontractors to ensure technical and commercial commitments are met.
• Identify and resolve issues to optimize timely completion and payment for work.
