Job summary

AE2S is seeking an Electrical Senior Project Engineer to lead electrical design and project delivery for water and wastewater infrastructure. You will manage client relationships, oversee project execution, and provide technical leadership across power systems, instrumentation and controls, and SCADA.

Located in Grand Forks, ND, this role requires senior-level expertise, mentoring for engineers, and delivering projects from planning through construction to meet schedule and budget while adhering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of electrical system design experience in water/wastewater.
• PE registration or ability to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, lighting, and controls.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead mid-level and senior team members and deliver projects on time.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level electrical engineering and project management leadership for complex water and wastewater projects.
• Lead and support business development efforts for local and regional growth.
• Serve as a technical leader applying advanced electrical engineering expertise across project teams.
• Design and oversee electrical systems and components, ensuring codes and client requirements.
• Conduct research and feasibility evaluations for new electrical technologies.
• Lead large-scale electrical design projects from planning through construction.
• Provide QC/QA for electrical designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Mentor and oversee engineers and staff to ensure successful delivery.
• Collaborate with subconsultants to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage client relationships, proposals, and new opportunities.
• Coordinate meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
