Job summary

AE2S is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and project delivery for municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure across multiple locations. The role involves managing client relationships, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high‑quality, on‑time projects from planning through construction.

You will apply expertise in power systems, instrumentation and controls, and SCADA, ensuring designs meet codes, standards, and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of electrical system design experience.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in Utah or ability to obtain.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, compliance practices, regulations, and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior‑level electrical engineering and project management leadership for complex water and wastewater projects.
• Lead and support business development efforts, developing strategies to drive local and regional growth.
• Serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor, applying advanced electrical engineering expertise across project teams.
• Design and oversee electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Conduct research and feasibility evaluations for new electrical technologies and applications.
• Lead large‑scale electrical design projects, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
• Provide QC/QA for electrical designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Mentor and oversee the work of electrical engineers and technical staff.
• Collaborate across disciplines and with external subconsultants to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage client relationships, proposal development, and pursuit of new opportunities.
• Coordinate and participate in internal and external meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
