AE2S is hiring a Water/Wastewater Senior Project Engineer in Lone Tree, CO. You will lead planning, design, and delivery of municipal and industrial water and wastewater projects while mentoring junior staff and building client relationships.

This role emphasizes technical problem-solving, project leadership, and collaboration with managers, engineers, and industry experts to deliver high-quality designs and strong project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field is required.
• PE licensure is ideal or obtainable within 3 months.
• 10+ years of municipal civil engineering experience preferred, with wastewater focus.
• Willingness to travel for business development and project responsibilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, evaluation, and design of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and oversee engineering reports, technical memorandums, specifications, contract documents, cost estimates, permit applications, and construction plans.
• Serve as a project engineer or technical lead, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and supporting successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with project managers to support scope, schedule, budget, and resource planning while maintaining a strong technical leadership role on projects.
• Build relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders while contributing to proposals, interviews, and business development efforts.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff, sharing knowledge and helping elevate team performance across the organization.
