Job summary

Weston Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to coordinate project execution from design through warranty, leading a design team and ensuring scope, schedule and budget adherence. The role emphasizes expertise in medium-voltage systems, design calculations, and client communication.

Location flexibility includes Lincolnshire, IL, with other sites and remote work considered. A PE license and DoD clearance are valued, along with experience in EVSE, microgrids, and data centers.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years of experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer with active NCEES account and ability to quickly obtain registration in additional states as required.
• Experience with medium-voltage electrical systems, including utility interconnections, substations, switchgear, protective relaying, underground distribution, and power system studies (SKM, ETAP, EasyPower).
• Knowledge of EVSE, microgrids, solar energy facilities, backup generators, backup battery systems, or data centers is a plus.
• A DoD security clearance is required or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to lead engineers/technicians and supervise field investigations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project execution and control to meet scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality goals from start to warranty.
• Lead planning and development of engineering tasks for proposals and projects.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and design-quality control plans.
• Supervise design teams and check work of staff on projects.
• Select equipment and review manufacturers' shop drawings.
