Job summary

Weston Solutions, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer in Lakewood, CO or other locations. You will lead project execution, perform design, calculations, and specs, and supervise staff to ensure safety, schedule, and quality goals.

The role requires a PE license, 10+ years in electrical engineering, and experience with MV systems, arc flash, and design in DoD or government contexts. Familiarity with UFC/SpecsIntact is a plus, with travel and a strong safety orientation.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience.
• Registered PE with ability to obtain registrations in other states.
• Experience with medium-voltage systems, substations, switchgear, and studies (SKM/ETAP).
• Knowledge of EVSE, microgrids, solar, data centers is a plus.
• DoD security clearance is required or ability to obtain one.
• CAD programs incl. AutoCAD/Civil 3D; 3D modeling a plus.
• Experience with UFC, UFGS, RMS, SpecsIntact; QMC a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project execution to meet scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality.
• Lead engineering tasks for proposals and projects; deliver designs and reports.
• Supervise design teams and check work of staff.
• Design calculations; select equipment and review shop drawings.
• Consult with clients on methods and equipment for projects.
• Monitor contractor performance; report progress to clients.
• Maintain technical capabilities and stay current with design tech.
• Prepare responses to RFPs with technical approach and pricing.
• Lead development of complex design/construction projects; mentor junior staff.
• Perform arc flash studies with SKM/ETAP; develop safety labeling language.
• Uphold health, safety; ensure OHSA 40h HazWOPER training.
• Travel; maintain licenses; proficient with MS Office.
• USACE QMC certification and QC/field QC experience a plus.
