Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to serve as a senior technical lead for planning, design, and execution of electrical building systems. You will own discipline deliverables and mentor staff while coordinating with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure high-quality delivery across multiple assignments.

Minimum 8–12+ years of electrical design experience is expected, with a PE license. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and construction documentation is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 8–12+ years of electrical design experience for building systems.
• PE license required; ability to lead projects and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design for building projects, including service distribution and lighting.
• Own discipline deliverables from schematic design through construction.
• Prepare, review, and approve engineering calculations, equipment selections, drawings, and specs.
• Manage budgets, schedules, staffing, and project priorities.
• Interface with clients, architects, contractors to resolve issues and maintain momentum.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to department standards.
• Assist with proposals, project setup, and business development input.
