Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to serve as a senior technical lead for planning, design, and execution of electrical building systems.

You will drive high-quality delivery across multiple concurrent assignments while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with clients and architects. Required are a PE license and 8–12+ years of electrical design experience in commercial, healthcare, institutional, or lab environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• 8–12+ years of electrical design for building systems.
• PE license required.
• Experience delivering electrical designs for commercial, healthcare, institutional, or labs.
• Advanced knowledge of codes, constructability, and coordination.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD for construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design for building projects including distribution, power, lighting, and controls.
• Own deliverables from schematic through construction and ensure quality.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, equipment specs, drawings.
• Manage budgets, schedules, staffing, and priorities with PMs.
• Interface with clients, architects, contractors to resolve issues and maintain momentum.
• Mentor junior engineers and support standards development.
• Assist with proposals, project setup, and business development input.
