Job summary

Core States Group is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Power Systems team. You will support end-of-life analyses, short circuit coordination, arc flash analyses, and other calculations, coordinating with multiple engineers and architects to produce electrical construction documents.

The role offers remote or hybrid work options across the US, with preference for specific office locations. A PE license and Revit proficiency are required, with AutoCAD/SKM PowerTools as a plus and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical power systems design in commercial projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Revit required.
• AutoCAD and SKM PowerTools is a plus.
• Familiar with electrical equipment like switchgear, MCCs, generators, VFDs, UPS a plus.
• Experience using AI tools to improve team processes and final work quality.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical design plans, calculations, reports, and construction documents with limited direction.
• Resolve complex electrical design challenges related to power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, code compliance, constructability, and cross-discipline coordination.
• Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations.
• Generate reports and recommendations based on findings.
• Coordinate work of a multi-disciplined team through design development and contract documents.
• Develop and mentor electrical engineering staff with technical guidance and feedback.
• Lead production staff and review work for accuracy and quality.
• Other related responsibilities as necessary.
