Job summary

Core States Group is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join the Power Systems team. You will work on end-of-life analyses, short circuit coordination, arc flash analyses, and related calculations within an Architecture and Engineering environment.

The role requires collaboration with site, civil, mechanical, structural engineers, and project managers to produce electrical construction documents aligning with client and code requirements. A PE license and Revit experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in electrical power systems design, preferably with commercial projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Revit experience required.
• AutoCAD and SKM PowerTools a plus.
• Familiar with switchgear, MCCs, generators, VFDs, UPS.
• Willingness to identify practical uses for AI tools to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical design plans, calculations, reports, and documents with limited direction.
• Address power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and code compliance challenges.
• Conduct site feasibility studies and site visits.
• Generate reports and recommendations from findings.
• Coordinate work of multi-disciplinary team through design and construction phases.
• Mentor electrical staff with technical guidance and feedback.
• Lead production staff and ensure accuracy and quality of outputs.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
