Job summary

Core States Group is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join the Power Systems team, focusing on end-of-life analyses, short circuit coordination, arc flash analyses, and related calculations. You will produce construction documents under guidance from Electrical Engineers and Project Managers, coordinating with Site, Mechanical, Structural, and Architectural teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical power systems design.
• PE required.
• Revit required.
• AutoCAD and SKM PowerTools is a plus.
• Familiar with electrical equipment such as switchgear, MCCs, generators, VFDs, UPS is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to identify practical uses for company-approved AI tools to improve team processes and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical design plans, calculations, reports, and construction documents with limited direction.
• Resolve complex electrical design challenges related to power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, code compliance, constructability, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations.
• Generate reports and recommendations based on findings.
• Coordinate the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases.
• Develop and mentor electrical engineering staff through technical guidance and project feedback.
• Lead production staff through assigned tasks and review work for accuracy and quality.
• Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the objectives of this role.
