Job summary

Core States Group is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join the Power Systems team, focusing on end-of-life analyses, short circuit coordination, arc flash analyses, and related calculations. You will develop electrical construction documents under Electrical Engineers/PM guidance and collaborate with Site, Civil, Mechanical, and Architectural teams.

You will mentor staff, lead tasks, review work for quality, and ensure compliance with codes and client requirements while coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical power systems design (commercial projects preferred).
• PE license required.
• Revit required; AutoCAD and SKM PowerTools a plus.
• Experience with switchgear, MCCs, generators, VFDs, UPS a plus.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to improve team processes and decisions.
• Ability to review AI-generated content for accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical design plans, calculations, reports, and construction documents with limited direction.
• Resolve complex electrical design challenges related to power distribution and coordination with other disciplines.
• Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations.
• Generate reports and recommendations based on findings.
• Coordinate the work of a multi-disciplined team through design development and contract documents.
• Develop and mentor electrical engineering staff through technical guidance and feedback.
• Lead production staff and ensure accuracy, coordination, and quality.
• Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill objectives.
