Job summary

Milwaukee Tool in Brookfield (WI) is seeking a Sr. Electronics Engineering Technician to support new product design through test development, data analysis, and benchmarking.

You will design test fixtures, configure equipment for testing, log measurements, and help troubleshoot circuit boards focusing on chargers and live batteries. The role requires hands-on lab work, collaboration with engineers, and maintaining test procedures while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering technology or equivalent (4+ years experience).
• 3+ years of experience with mechanical/electrical principles, test equipment and procedures.
• Knowledge of test concepts in design and development of products and components.
• Capable of lifting and manipulating 50 lbs.
• Ability to travel between lab locations.
• Interest and ability to use power tools to simulate consumer usage.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional groups for troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and some hand/shop tool experience.
• Able to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Test chargers and batteries per best practices for lithium-ion systems.
• Perform hands-on mechanical testing of batteries and tools.
• Collect data using various equipment and software programs.
• Run tests per work instructions and procedures.
• Prepare reports of test results and make recommendations.
• Provide updates to Engineers on project status.
• Create and edit documents using Microsoft Office suite.
• Manage lab space—tools, parts, surfaces, consumables.
• Move between lab spaces to execute and monitor testing.
