Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our HIL & Electronics Automated Test (HEAT) team in Electrical Engineering product support. You will instrument PCBAs, assemble test fixtures, and troubleshoot test systems to support development and testing of firmware.

You’ll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities: assemble test fixtures, repair/rework assemblies, operate lab equipment, collect data, and prepare reports for test results and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
• Experience with mechanical & electrical principles and test equipment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excel and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assemble test fixtures and prototype electronics for test and evaluation in a low volume / high mix environment including PCBAs and wiring.
• Repair and rework assemblies as needed to support prototype development and testing.
• Operate various lab equipment such as power supplies and meters.
• Perform tests using a variety of electrical and mechanical test equipment and techniques.
• Collect data through various equipment and software programs.
• Prepare thorough, timely, and accurate reports of test results and provide recommendations.
• Participate in the overall maintenance and continuous improvement of the laboratory.
