Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks an Engineering Technician to join its HIL & Electronics Automated Test (HEAT) team within the Electrical Engineering group. You will instrument PCBAs, assemble test fixtures, and troubleshoot test systems to support firmware development and testing.

You will work in a fast‑paced lab environment, collecting data, preparing reports, and helping maintain the lab for ongoing innovation in power electronics and embedded systems.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology or a high school diploma with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical principles and test equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Office.
• Capability to lift and manipulate 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble test fixtures and prototype electronics for test and evaluation.
• Repair and rework assemblies to support prototype development.
• Operate soldering iron, microscope, and hot air equipment.
• Operate lab equipment such as power supplies and meters.
• Perform tests using electrical and mechanical test equipment.
• Collect data through equipment and software programs.
• Prepare thorough, timely reports of test results and provide recommendations.
• Participate in maintenance and continuous improvement of the laboratory.
