Job summary

AECOM has a Senior Electrical and I&C Designer opening to support a multi-disciplinary design team focused on power generation. The role centers on leading Electrical and I&C CAD activities, producing deliverables, and coordinating with engineers and customers.

You will work across feasibility through construction, ensure safety and constructability, and manage budgets and schedules with a collaborative, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in power or industrial field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years in power/industrial CAD design.

Responsibilities

• Lead CAD design for Electrical and I&C across projects of all sizes.
• Oversee deliverables ensuring constructability, safety, and project constraints.
• Coordinate drawings and digital project content with team members.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers through design stages from feasibility to construction.
• Lead discipline CAD design on projects, managing budgets and schedules.
• Prepare bills of materials and quantity take-offs.
• Utilize data from laser scans, LiDAR, and vendor files for accurate modeling.
• Contribute to business development and proposal efforts.
• Create, update, and implement group CAD standards.
• Travel as needed for meetings and field checks.
