Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical and I&C Designer to join our energy design team in a hybrid US-based role. You will lead CAD and deliverables for electrical and I&C scopes on multi-disciplinary power projects, coordinating with engineers, PMs and clients to drive design quality and schedule adherence.

You will work across locations with flexibility to support remote collaboration, and contribute to innovative programs while maintaining rigorous safety and industry standards.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 6 years of relevant power or industrial experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Experience managing CAD disciplines and delivering electrical/I&C designs on complex projects.
• Strong collaboration with engineers, PMs and clients to meet project goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform as the Electrical and I&C discipline CAD lead for projects of all sizes.
• Oversee the design and preparation of electrical and I&C deliverables, ensuring efficient facility design while addressing constructability, safety, and project constraints.
• Perform complex CAD tasks and coordinate the production of drawings, coordinating with team to create integrated digital content.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop facility designs, generate deliverables and progress through design stages.
• Lead the discipline CAD designer on projects, managing budgets, staffing and schedule updates.
• Prepare bills of materials and quantity take offs.
