Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a General Foreman to supervise on-site Foremen and technical leads, ensuring safe, productive, and high-quality construction while controlling costs. The role involves scheduling labor, materials, tools, and equipment, and coordinating with the Trade Superintendent on activities for electrical projects including substations and associated systems.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver license and an acceptable MVR.
• Ability to manage and supervise multiple employees.
• Thorough knowledge of tools and equipment uses and limitations.
• Good communication skills to deal with owners and employees.
• Relocation to community of project site is required.
• May be required to become a qualified individual in pursuit of a company contract licensing, or journeyman or master electrician licence.
• Ability to read and understand prints and contract documents.
• Knows and understand the required federal and state codes for the project.
• Previous utility-scale solar, substation or related construction management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and sets direction for all Foremen and technical leads on-site to ensure best use of all company resources.
• Schedules equipment, materials and tools to effectively utilize all resources and to maximize production and minimize costs.
• Acts as a technical consultant to field personnel in electrical circuits and high voltage terminations.
• Mentors Field Coordinators/Field Engineers and Foremen on work discipline, production costs, scope of work, quality, and safety.
• Ensures safety procedures and compliance with federal/state regulations on site.
