Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee pre-construction through close-out, coordinating with home-office engineering and external firms to ensure reliable, quality, cost-effective and safe designs at the project site. The PE collaborates with the home-office Project Controls team, reviews schedules and budgets, and reports on progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in renewables; solar experience is a plus.
• Experience as PE in an EPC firm is a plus.
• Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
• Detail oriented and strong accounting/record-keeping.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and present to groups.
• Familiar with two or more trade disciplines (civil, electrical, mechanical, commissioning).
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail), Adobe Acrobat/BlueBeam, P6 or scheduling tools, Visio.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor Field Engineers and support Trade Superintendents in project tracking and reporting.
• Support safety, QA, and project control programs to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate design issues with Trade Superintendents and outside engineers (EOR).
• Manage RFI process and document control for construction.
• Provide site operational support and contribute to cost and schedule reporting.
• Relocate to project site for the duration of construction (6–15 months).
