Job summary

Amteck is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman for a new construction project in Atlanta, GA. You will oversee a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians, lead installation activities, read blueprints, and ensure work complies with NEC and project specs.

You will mentor staff, develop manpower schedules, prepare material lists from layouts, and coordinate with supervision to meet production and budget goals.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Proven leadership ability to coach teams of ~5 workers.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and project documents.
• Strong communication with other trades and supervision.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on site.
• Ensure work quality meets high standards.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Prepare material lists from layouts and job-site demands.
• Support production and budget goals through effective team communication.
• Ensure crew work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install electrical conduit.
• Install and terminate devices, panels, conductors.
• Read project specs, blueprints, schematics.
• Lay out work areas from drawings, including underground layout.
• Determine wire, conduit, and box sizing accurately.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
