Job summary

Amteck is seeking an Electrical Foreman for a new construction project in Atlanta, GA. You will supervise a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians, performing installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems while mentoring your team.

The role emphasizes leadership, on-site safety, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics, coordinate with supervision, and ensure work meets NEC and local codes. Strong communication and scheduling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial or industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Strong reading of project specifications, blueprints and schematics.
• Proficient in coordinating with supervision and other trades on site.
• Willingness to work weekends or overtime as needed.
• Familiar with NEC guidelines and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Create material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
• Support production and budget goals through effective team communication.
• Ensure all crew work complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures and panels.
• Read project specs, blueprints and schematics.
• Lay out work from electrical drawings and project documents.
• Determine wire, conduit and junction box sizing.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and general power circuits.
