Job summary

Amteck is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman for a new commercial construction project in Atlanta, GA. The Foreman will supervise a crew of Helpers, Apprentices, and Journeyman electricians, lead installation work, mentor the team, and ensure quality, safety, and on-site productivity.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and coach teams of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and contract-related documents.
• Ability to read project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Develop manpower schedule for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and communicate lists to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by understanding tasks and communicating them to the team.
• Ensure all work done by crew complies with local and NEC guidelines.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels and conduits.
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out work from electrical drawings and project documents, including underground layout.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
