Job summary

Powell Service Technicians ensure the end-to-end safety, quality and performance of Powell equipment across the US and Canada. This role includes performing installations, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance, with travel across multiple regions.

The ideal candidate thinks critically, works well in a team setting, and is a problem solver. Qualified technicians are provided safety and technical training with full office support.

Qualifications

• Field service technicians are required to have four or more years as a shop and/or field electrical/breaker technician.
• Basic knowledge of ANSI IEEE standards and switchgear fundamentals.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and write test reports with clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Powell safety and quality standards.
• Complete site documentation including service orders and materials used.
• Communicate work schedules with Field Operations Scheduler and District Service Manager.
• Travel up to 85% of the year.
• Coordinate with project management, customers, vendors and labor support.
• Install switchgear and power control equipment, perform testing and repairs.
