Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead detailed pricing for electrical scopes across commercial, renewable energy, substation and battery storage projects.

You will perform quantity take-offs, review drawings and specs, and support design analysis to ensure competitive estimates. You will collaborate with engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to clarify scope, schedule and material needs, price value alternatives, and support hard

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' estimating experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of negotiated bids, hard bids, and GMP processes.
• Familiarity with OST, Accubid, Traser, and BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs quantity take-offs and supports pricing of projects.
• Reviews electrical drawings, specifications and studies.
• Collaborates with engineers and subcontractors to clarify scope.
• Design review of electrical drawings and studies.
• Supports pricing and bid preparation for multiple project types.
• Participates in hard bid, negotiated, and GMP budgeting.
• Coordinates with field operations on change order pricing.
• Develops estimates and materials data in estimating software.
