Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Estimating Manager to lead the bid and estimating process for complex electrical packages, with emphasis on solar and renewable design and construction.

Responsibilities include take-offs, pricing, scoping, and coordinating with engineers, subs, and vendors to deliver competitive bids. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in CM or Engineering and at least 2 years' experience, with strong electrical knowledge and proficiency in OST,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CM or Engineering with 2+ years of equivalent experience.
General knowledge of electrical principles and ability to read drawings and specs.
Experience with negotiated bids, hard bids, and GMP processes.
Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

Support conceptual and detailed solar electrical design and estimating.
Perform quantity take-offs, pricing, scoping, and bid preparation.
Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and subcontractors for scope and schedule.
Prepare contract exhibits and assist in final estimate assembly for owner presentation.
Lead relationships with subs and suppliers to gain competitive advantages.
