McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead the pricing of electrical scopes for commercial, renewable, substation and battery storage projects.

You will perform take-offs and reviews, pricing value alternatives, and collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure accurate, competitive estimates. You will prepare bid exhibits, support GMP budgeting, and help maintain McCarthy’s market position by leveraging estimating tools, trade

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering; 2+ years experience.
• Knowledge of electrical principles and processes.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Experience with negotiated bids, hard bids, and GMP processes.
• Proficient with estimating tech: OST, Accubid, Traser; BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed development and pricing of electrical scopes.
• Perform quantity take-offs and review drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and subs.
• Prepare contractual exhibits and bid materials.
• Support field ops with change order pricing.
• Maintain relationships with trade partners.
• Attend industry events to represent McCarthy.
