Job summary

OEG, Inc. seeks a Senior Estimator to lead electrical project estimations from bid preparation through closeout documentation for the customer. The role requires extensive knowledge of electrical construction and strong cost-analysis capabilities.

Five years of estimating experience and proficiency with Accubid are expected, along with leadership experience in field environments. This position involves vendor and subcontractor coordination, takeoffs, and preconstruction guidance with project

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in electrical estimating.
• Experience with calculations and Accubid entry for indirect costs, general conditions, subcontractor, and vendor quotations.
• Electrical estimating knowledge and understanding of design-build processes with code-compliant layouts.
• Experience estimating projects $30 million and larger without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Complete estimates for all projects, small to large, through all phases of the estimating process.
• Vendor coordination.
• Subcontractor coordination.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and general contractors, ensuring awareness of opportunities.
• Takeoffs and data entry.
• Scope letter preparation.
• Estimate projects complete with designated margins for cost to complete and phasing.
• Prepare and update post-bid files with competition, price levels, and man-hours.
• Attend estimator meetings and contribute innovative ideas for better coordination.
• Work with the project controls team to solidify procedures and processes.
