Job summary

APG Electric, LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Construction Estimator to join our preconstruction team in Florida. You will develop accurate, competitive estimates for electrical construction projects from concept through bid submission, interfacing with project managers, engineers, and contractors.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in electrical estimating, deep knowledge of materials and codes, and experience with ACCUBID and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in electrical construction estimating.
• Experience estimating projects with values of $15 Million or more.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction materials, labor, installation methods, and codes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple estimates.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical plans, specs, drawings, bid documents and contract requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical systems, equipment, materials, and labor.
• Prepare accurate estimates for commercial, industrial, healthcare, or other projects.
• Solicit and level pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Prepare bid proposals, scope letters, clarifications, exclusions, and assumptions.
• Identify gaps, discrepancies, conflicts, and risks in documents.
• Coordinate with project management and engineering teams on assumptions.
• Develop value-engineering options to improve competitiveness and cost efficiency.
