Job summary

OEG, Inc. in Portland, OR is seeking an Electrical Estimator responsible for estimating electrical projects from bid preparation through closeout documentation. Travel up to 10% and site visits are expected. You will prepare quantity takeoffs, review pricing, solicit vendor quotes, and draft proposal documents as part of a collaborative estimating

Qualifications

• Proven ability to understand electrical construction and perform conceptual estimates.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as an electrical estimator.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Quantity takeoff.
• Enter quantity takeoffs into estimating software.
• Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Review current material pricing levels.
• Review and estimate addenda as required.
• Visit site and/or attend site walk meetings.
• Review bid/construction schedule.
• Draft and submit proposal documents.
• Follow post bid closeout procedures.
• Attend weekly estimating team meetings.
• Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
