Job summary

ABLe Communications, Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead the estimating team for large-scale electrical construction projects.

You will manage takeoffs, labor and material costs, and produce competitive bids while coordinating with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Contracts. The role requires 10+ years in estimating, strong leadership, and proficiency with Excel and electrical estimating software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical estimating team and mentor staff.
• Prepare accurate estimates and bid proposals for large-scale electrical construction projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Contracts, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Develop bid summaries, pricing worksheets, and supporting documentation.
• Identify risks, exclusions, and assumptions to ensure competitive, profitable bids.
• Assist with value engineering and alternative pricing options.
• Support project handoff with clear estimating assumptions and scope.
