Job summary

Lexicon offers a unique combination of capabilities in construction management, fabrication, erection, mechanical installation, and plant maintenance for heavy industrial and commercial markets. The Senior Electrical Estimator will lead the preparation of competitive, accurate estimates for electrical systems on commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

This role requires 10+ years of electrical estimating experience, NEC knowledge, and proficiency with Accubid/ConEst.

Qualifications

10+ years estimating experience in electrical contracting.
Proficiency with Accubid, ConEst, or similar software.
Deep understanding of NEC and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, low-voltage, and control systems.
Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
Evaluate labor, material, and subcontractor costs using standard productivity rates.
Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor proposals.
Participate in design-build and value-engineering processes.
Conduct quantity takeoffs using digital estimating tools.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to align scope and budgets.
Maintain current knowledge of electrical codes and industry standards.
Provide mentorship and training to junior estimating staff.
