Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. in Sterling, VA seeks a Senior Estimator to lead electrical bid efforts. You will prepare and refine cost estimates, review drawings, and coordinate with estimators, suppliers, and clients to deliver competitive bids.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or Engineering and at least 4 years of estimating experience, with proficiency in Accubid, Livecount Cloud, and Bluebeam. On-site with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years’ estimating or relevant experience in closing construction estimates.
• Experience in Accubid estimating software, Livecount Cloud, and Bluebeam software preferred.
• Experience in CAD or 3D software preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bid estimates from quantity take-offs and create detailed cost estimates.
• Identify key project components to maintain competitive estimates.
• Review drawings and specs; attend pre-bid meetings to define scope.
• Provide leadership to discipline sub-estimators and maintain documentation.
• Develop labor productivity and installation costs based on site conditions.
• Draft scope letters and review packages with Chief Estimator before bid release.
