Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bid preparation and cost estimation for electrical construction projects. You will work with estimators, suppliers, and customers to craft competitive bids, develop labor costs, and manage document control.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 4+ years of estimating experience, including software proficiency in Accubid, Livecount Cloud, and Bluebeam. On-site opportunities and travel up to 10% are expected.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints or engineering drawings.
• Perform arithmetic calculations for estimates.
• Estimate diverse projects and coordinate group work.
• Mentor and assist with estimators' development.
• Identify and meet customer needs and requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Willing to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates from quantity take-offs and compile bid packages.
• Review specifications and drawings; attend pre-bid meetings.
• Develop labor productivity and installation unit costs.
• Solicit quotes; review for completeness and conformance.
• Lead discipline sub-estimates for bids and ensure documentation.
• Present detailed scope and pricing to Chief Estimator.
• Explain job scope during project turnover and updates.
