The role focuses on preparing detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates, reviewing drawings, and coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to develop competitive bids. Candidates should have a strong electrical construction background, experience with takeoffs, cost evaluations, and bid packages; travel nationwide; and proficiency with Excel

Qualifications

• Electrical estimating experience in industrial, commercial, EPC, or mission-critical projects.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of electrical materials and labor requirements.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and subcontractor bids.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates for complex construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams throughout the bidding process.
• Analyze labor productivity, material pricing, and project-specific cost considerations.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkdowns.
• Develop proposal documentation and final bid packages.
• Maintain historical cost data and support improvements in estimating accuracy.
