Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking an experienced Sr. Electrical Estimator for industrial EPC and data center construction in Houston, TX. This fully onsite role involves preparing detailed estimates, reviewing specs, and coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams on nationwide projects.

Data center experience is a plus but not required. Ideal candidates bring strong electrical construction knowledge, proficiency with Excel and estimating tools, and the ability to travel as

Qualifications

• Electrical estimating experience in industrial, commercial, EPC, or mission-critical construction.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specs, and construction documents.
• Knowledge of electrical materials, installation methods, and labor requirements.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, cost estimating, and subcontractor bid evaluations.
• Proficiency with Excel; familiarity with estimating software (Bluebeam, McCormick, Accubid) preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred, not required.
• Data center construction experience is a plus, not required.
• Ability to travel nationwide as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates for complex construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams throughout the bidding process.
• Analyze labor productivity, material pricing, and project-specific cost considerations.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkdowns.
• Develop proposal documentation and final bid packages.
• Maintain historical cost data and support improvements in estimating accuracy.
