Job summary

Hunt Electric seeks an experienced Estimator III/Sr. Estimator to develop electrical estimates for diverse projects in modular, healthcare, and industrial sectors. The role emphasizes accuracy, communication, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Hybrid work is available in the Minneapolis metro area; remote option may be considered for non-local candidates. Strong experience in AC/DC systems, NEC, and takeoffs is preferred. Benefits include a performance bonus and comprehensive coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two year degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical conceptual estimating, low voltage estimating, NEC requirements, and design/build estimating preferred.
• Strong estimating software skills; Accubid or Enterprise a plus.
• Bluebeam and Excel proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret design drawings and specifications across disciplines.
• Estimate labor, materials, and administrative costs for projects.
• Prepare quotations and bid documentation.
• Lead small estimator teams for large projects.
• Collaborate with BD and leadership to develop bid strategies.
• Use estimating software for takeoffs and data entry.
• Mentor and train team members.
