Job summary

Hunt Electric Corporation is seeking an Estimator III/Sr. Estimator to drive electrical estimates for industrial, commercial, healthcare, and automotive projects. Hybrid in the Minneapolis metro area or fully remote if outside the region.

The role demands accuracy, proactive communication, and the ability to mentor junior staff while leading estimating teams through large, complex bids. Expect collaboration with design teams, operations, and business development to secure favorable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; a two-year related degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• 8+ years of electrical estimating experience including conceptual, low voltage, NEC requirements, and design/build estimating preferred.
• Experience with electrical estimating software; Accubid or Enterprise is a plus.
• Strong math skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Interpret design drawings and specifications from multiple disciplines.
• Schedule and participate in estimating kickoff meetings.
• Lead bid reviews with the Estimating Team and prepare materials and subcontracts.
• Develop and maintain estimating standards and ensure accurate labor, material, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with Business Development and division leadership to shape bid strategies.
