Job summary

Hunt Electric in Minnesota seeks a Senior Estimator to lead electrical project estimates across industrial and commercial sectors, including automotive and healthcare. You will interpret design drawings, develop bid strategies, prepare materials and subcontractor quotations, and collaborate with BD, project teams, and designers to ensure accurate, timely estimates.

This role demands 8+ years of electrical estimating experience, proficiency with Accubid/Enterprise and Bluebeam, strong Excel

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) year degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of electrical estimating experience including conceptual and design/build.
• Proficiency with electrical estimating software; Accubid or Enterprise a plus.
• Strong Bluebeam, Excel and Microsoft Office skills required.
• Effective communication, organization and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret designs and specifications from multiple disciplines for accurate estimates.
• Lead bid reviews and final bid presentations with the Estimating Team.
• Prepare quotations for materials and subcontracts and develop scopes of work.
• Develop bid strategies with BD and division leadership for opportunities.
• Estimate labor, materials, and admin costs; mentor junior estimators.
• Coordinate with Sales, Preconstruction, Designers, and Project Managers to resolve issues.
