Job summary

Daksta is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead the cost estimation for data centre projects in the United States. You will prepare detailed electrical cost models, analyze drawings and specs, and coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate scopes and budgets.

You will leverage Accubid, Bluebeam, and McCormick to produce competitive estimates, review subcontractor quotes, and support value engineering while maintaining awareness of market trends and costs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical estimating for large-scale projects, preferably data centres.
• Strong ability to analyze specifications, drawings, and contracts to determine requirements.
• Proficient in cost estimation software and Excel-based cost models.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical systems in data centre projects.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine project requirements.
• Utilize industry-standard software tools such as Accubid, Bluebeam, and McCormick to develop comprehensive estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align scope and budget.
• Identify risks and opportunities within estimates and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Maintain knowledge of market trends, material costs, and labor rates for competitive pricing.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure alignment with requirements.
• Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and reports to internal teams and clients.
• Support value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and company policies.
