Job summary

Daksta is seeking a Senior Estimator focused on data centre projects to join our preconstruction team. You will deliver accurate cost estimates for large-scale commercial and industrial builds, lead collaboration with design, and serve as the primary cost contact.

The role requires a bachelor’s in CM/engineering, proficiency with WinEST and Destini, strong MEP knowledge, and the ability to mentor junior estimators. Travel ~10% and relocation/sign-on benefits available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in cost estimation for commercial/industrial projects, preferably with a GC.
• Proficiency in WinEST and Destini software.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems integration.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine project budgets with the preconstruction team.
• Review plans, specs, and docs to prepare accurate estimates.
• Lead cost-related stakeholder meetings.
• Provide detailed reports and forecasts to leadership.
• Monitor industry trends and material costs.
• Identify and mitigate preconstruction risks.
